Quite the surprise
Well then, I never thought I’d find myself here again—blogging, that is.
You see, this isn’t my first rodeo. I tried my hand at blogging a while back in college. It was quite popular then. I am not entirely sure why it hasn’t been as popular in recent years. Then again have to admit, I’m not as up-to-date with many blogs or the current blogging landscape. I thoroughly enjoyed it years ago, focusing on taking pictures of my outfits and doing what the blog ‘girlies’ were doing. But then life happened, and focusing on school took over. I truly missed it, which is one of the many reasons why I’ve decided to blog again. Albeit, this time with a big difference in focus. A new passion that I will detail in future posts.
Writing as an art form
I’ve always thought of writing as a form of art. Whether on paper or electronically, writing can allow you to create your own unique universe. It provides an environment where creativity and inspiration can flourish. Blogging/writing, I hope, will regain its footing and inspire a new generation to release their thoughts and creativity with no matter the editors passion.
What truly prompted this return
Since I stopped writing, and if not for the global event of 2020 that halted the world, I wouldn’t have found a new passion for sewing my own clothes and exploring sustainability in fashion and consumption. During 2020, I discovered my love for sewing, not realizing it was there. I began sharing my creations on Instagram but realized that mundane posts didn’t give me the space to write about my sewing journey and experiences. Therefore, I hope to use this space to share my thoughts on creating with my hands and inspire others to take the plunge. You don’t need to start with every tool or item; just begin with a needle and thread. Honestly, I should have started there myself. But alas, here we are.
So where do we go from here?
For now, this is my ‘Rebirth’ into the world of blogging. I’m getting my feet wet, rediscovering my passion for writing about things I love and that inspire me, and hopefully inspiring those with common interests.
